American Samoa (1925)
- I went to study young women in American Samoa in 1925 to see if they had the "rebellious" trait that was common in America which was not the case in Samoa
- I lived with an American family during my time in Samoa on the island called Ta’u
- I stayed there for 9 months while I interviewed the girls and also took psychological tests on them
- During my stay I had studied 63 different girls with varying ages from 3 different western towns in Ta'u
- After my 9 months I published Coming of Age in Samoa in 1928 and The Social Organization of Manu'a in 1930
